Signature Moves
-
Stump Puller
– The Whittlers favourite and most vicious submission hold. A basic
Dragon sleeper hold but with one of the opponents’ arms behind their
back in an armbar. This is held in place using Whittlers knee. Leaving
his other arm free to show boat. This move can be locked in from many
positions and has won The Whittler numerous matches in the now defunct
AWW.
-
Shaving the bark
– basically a diamond cutter. This move can be performed from many
places including the top rope, the ring apron, the announce table, a
flapjack position or even in The Whittlers kitchen.
-
Stuff of Leg-ends
– A move taught to him by his late adopted father Jimmy “the
Leg-end” McCoy. He’s not dead, he just hasn’t turned up yet. A
deadly variation on a Boston crab and Jimmy’s finisher in his
wrestling days. It’s a jumping Boston crab off the top rope. Tends
not to use this much as it sort of sometimes kills people.
-
Whittler driver and friend
– A Brainbuster suplex followed by Whittler bridging up and dropping
the opponent back down with a neckbreaker.
-
Ian’s favourite move
– The Whittler only uses this move because it’s Ian’s (that’s
his talking knife by the way) favourite. It’s a power bomb onto the
ropes which slingshots the opponent over Whittlers shoulders landing
them flat on their face.
Finishing moves
The
Mahogany Drop - A
front sulplex with a twist, as Whittler hoists his opponent over his head
he twists them around into a stone cold stunner position on the way down,
driving their face/chin into his shoulder
Personality
-
The Whittler was born and raised
in the small Whittling community of Flagstaff Arizona. His parents
died in a freak zoo accident when he was only four years old, giving
rise to his phobia of lemurs. His mentor and fathers best friend,
Jimmy “The Leg-end” McCoy (called this not because he was a great
man but because he had a wooden leg) adopted him and trained him in
both the arts of brawler, hardcore style Wrestling and the ancient
mystical art of Whittling. It was the latter of the two in which he
really excelled after a trip to the old well to fetch water when he
was ten years old. When the bucket was drawn up it contained more than
the clear, non-alcoholic liquid known as “water”. It contained the
ancient mystical Whittling knife, which grants its holder unbelievable
whittling powers…it contained “Ian”.
-
Using the gifts Ian had bestowed
upon him, The Whittler very quickly became state, national and world
champion whittler by the tender age of fourteen. At was at this point
he decided to pursue his other talent…fighting. He joined several
wrestling associations and fast became a mid-card fan-favourite. He
made many enemies during his systematic rise to mediocrity, some of
which may come back to haunt him. The Whittler then joined the AWW
where he rocketed up the card capturing tag team gold with close
friend Suicide, before becoming one of the few wrestlers in AWW to
stay in the world title hunt towards the end of the company. Whittler
is experienced having fought in many World title matches but so far
unsuccessfully. Together with his trainers Brain Blessed and Geoff
Capes, and with his Hi tech training area “The Whitt Cave” surely
AWWE gold can’t be far away for this firm fan favourite and his
knife.
